Sorrento is in Campania, so the price ranges for the open bar shown below apply to a Sorrento wedding too, across all three levels: Standard, Premium and Luxury. From there the quote changes with the venue, the number of guests, the hours of service and the spirits chosen.
Sorrento is not on the Amalfi Coast
It sits on the Sorrentine Peninsula, on the other side of the Lattari mountains, and that changes the journey: Naples is about fifty kilometres away, by motorway to Castellammare di Stabia and then the coast road, which is busy in summer. The Circumvesuviana railway also runs into the centre of town, about an hour from Naples, with a train every half hour until late in the evening. From Marina Piccola, the town harbour, the ferries and hydrofoils leave for Capri: about twenty minutes at sea.
The town centre closes to traffic in the evening
From 1 April to 25 October, and over the Christmas holidays, the centre of Sorrento is a limited traffic zone on weekdays from 19:30 to 4:00, with cameras reading the number plates at every entrance. Those are the hours of a wedding, so loading and unloading are planned in advance with the venue. We allow for it in the quote, which always depends on the venue.
Hotels and villas on the cliff
Sorrento stands on a tuff cliff above the sea, and many hotels and villas reach their bathing platforms and lower terraces by internal lifts and steps, which a bar counter does not always fit. Send us the measurements of the lift or the stairs and we will choose the counter accordingly. If your venue has no bar, we bring a complete one, from the counter to the glassware, and set it up wherever it is needed: in a villa, in a garden or on a terrace.
English-speaking wedding bartenders
On average one bartender for every 60 guests: for 120 guests, two. Barbacks keep the bar stocked and floor staff collect glasses among the guests. The team wears the Nao uniform and speaks English, for guests travelling from abroad. Write to us in English: it is best to secure your date 8 to 12 months ahead, especially in high season, and we reply to every quote request within 24 hours, with the date, the venue and the number of guests.
