How we plan the bar for a Capri wedding

Capri is in Campania, so the price ranges for the open bar shown below apply to a Capri wedding too, across all three levels: Standard, Premium and Luxury. The quote then depends on the venue, number of guests, hours of service and spirits chosen.
Capri is reached by sea
Capri is an island in the Gulf of Naples, facing the Sorrentine Peninsula, and not a village on the Amalfi Coast. The counter, the cases and the team board at Naples, by hydrofoil from Molo Beverello or by ferry from Calata Porta di Massa, or else at Sorrento, and land at Marina Grande, the only port on the island. Vehicles travel on the ferries alone, and the sailing times change through the year: the day is planned around them.
The car ban does not stop the goods
From late March to early November, a decree of the Campania Region bans people who do not live on the island from landing or driving cars, motorcycles and mopeds in Capri. The ban does not apply to vehicles carrying goods, whatever their origin, as long as they stay within the size limits of the island's roads. These are the rules the loading is planned around, and they are worth reading before a date is set.
The last stretch, where vehicles cannot go
Much of the town centre is closed to traffic. There, goods and luggage travel on the electric carts licensed by the town council: a fixed number of them, colour-coded by the kind of goods they carry, with limits on width, on height when fully loaded, and a walking-pace speed limit. Licences go only to businesses with premises or a store on the island, so anyone arriving from outside works with an operator who already holds one. How far it is from the unloading point to the villa changes from address to address: send us yours and we will look into it in advance.
The season, and the date to secure
The season in Capri is written into its own rules: the car ban for non-residents runs from late March to early November, and the higher landing fee applies from April to October. July and August are the busiest months. For a wedding it is best to secure your date 8 to 12 months ahead, especially in high season. Write to us in English: we reply to every quote request within 24 hours, and to prepare it we need the date, the venue and the number of guests.
English-speaking wedding bartenders
On average one bartender for every 60 guests: for 120 guests, two. Barbacks keep the bar stocked and floor staff collect glasses among the guests. The team wears the Nao uniform and speaks English, for guests travelling from abroad.

Luxury

- A cocktail menu created for the event, ice stamped with your logo or monogram, finer glassware, exotic garnishes and edible flowers.

- Belvedere vodka, Monkey 47 and Ki No Bi gin, Don Julio 1942 and Clase Azul tequila, Zacapa 23 rum, single malt whisky and Nikka, reserve amari.

How much does a wedding bar cost in Capri?
For events in Campania, the open bar usually runs from €20 to €30 per person for the Standard level, from €25 to €35 for Premium and from €30 to €45 for Luxury. In the centre, which is closed to traffic, goods travel on the electric carts licensed by the town council.
